Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound Technologist experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting
- Current and active applicable state licensure, if required
- ARDMS certification or equivalent relevant ultrasound credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures, patient safety, and clinical protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare patients for imaging exams and explain procedures clearly and compassionately
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging
- Recognize and document appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information for interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient records and support timely reporting workflows
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards at all times
- Collaborate with the care team to support efficient patient flow and exceptional clinical outcomes
