Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
• Prior hospital ultrasound experience preferred
• Current applicable state licensure, if required
• ARDMS certification preferred or equivalent diagnostic medical sonography credential
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures, patient positioning, and safety protocols
• Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and explain procedures in a clear, compassionate, patient-centered manner
• Operate, monitor, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging
• Review images for quality, completeness, and technical accuracy prior to submission
• Document patient information and procedure details accurately in the appropriate clinical systems
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support timely diagnosis and treatment
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital compliance standards at all times
• Provide professional care in a fast-paced hospital setting within a leading New Jersey healthcare environment
