- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
- Charting System: EPIC
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Floating: Required within specialty and acuity
- On Call: None
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience providing care in a high-acuity critical care unit
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Ability to float within scope as needed
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care to ICU patients with complex conditions
- Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as stroke, renal failure, MI, respiratory failure, pneumonia, DKA, and post-cardiac arrest care
- Support advanced critical care therapies including CRRT, IABP, ventilator management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Assist with chest tube management, central line care, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation
- Respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining a calm, focused approach
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote the best possible patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards in EPIC
- Adapt to changing patient needs while delivering high-quality critical care nursing
