• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,530 – $1,610
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 (ICU RN / Critical Care Nurse)
• Scrub Color: Charcoal Grey
• Weekend Coverage: Required (6 shifts per 6-week period)
• Orientation: 12 hours onsite

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in Texas or state of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS and PALS preferred)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:2–3 in an ICU setting
• Clinical skills: ventilator/vent management, CRRT/hemodialysis support, advanced cardiac monitoring, arterial lines
• Preferred experience: charge nurse duties, community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I/II
• Location restriction: Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a 16-bed Medical-Surgical ICU
• Manage complex ICU cases including ventilator support, CRRT, hemodynamic instability, and advanced cardiac life support
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapies per hospital policy
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and acute changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize Epic for timely, accurate documentation and handoffs
• Float to other units as required and participate in unit orientation and continuing education modules onsite
