Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Infection Control RN – Travel Assignment
• Location: Kealakekua, HI 96750 (Big Island, Hawaii healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Weekdays, 5x8 hour shifts (40 hours per week)

Infection Control RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii RN license preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in infection control nursing or infection prevention
• Proven work history in infection control for operating room, sterile processing, and hospital-wide infection prevention
• Current nursing certification (CIC – Certification in Infection Control preferred)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities

• Lead and implement infection control protocols across all hospital departments
• Monitor and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards in operating rooms and sterile processing areas
• Conduct surveillance, data collection, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)
• Educate clinical staff on infection prevention best practices and regulatory updates
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and refine infection control policies and procedures
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives related to infection control and patient safety
