Travel Nursing Job Details

Infection Control RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii RN license preferred for local candidates)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in infection control nursing or infection prevention
- Proven work history in infection control for operating room, sterile processing, and hospital-wide infection prevention
- Current nursing certification (CIC – Certification in Infection Control preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities
- Lead and implement infection control protocols across all hospital departments
- Monitor and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards in operating rooms and sterile processing areas
- Conduct surveillance, data collection, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)
- Educate clinical staff on infection prevention best practices and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and refine infection control policies and procedures
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives related to infection control and patient safety
