IT Project Manager – Community Connect Project (Healthcare IT/Epic) – Remote

Healthcare IT Project Manager (Remote) — Lead Epic implementation workstreams on a 12–18 month contract driving clinical and technical change for a Pittsburgh-based healthcare system.

About the Role

Join a dynamic technology team as an IT Project Manager for the Community Connect Project supporting a major healthcare system. You will lead critical workstreams for a large-scale Epic/healthcare implementation, coordinating clinical informatics, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver on-time, high-quality results. This 12–18 month contract provides stability and the opportunity to see your work through to completion.

Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $2,210
  • Location: Remote (supporting a Pittsburgh-based healthcare system)
  • Contract Duration: 12-18 months (anticipated start: mid-to-late June / early July 2026; end date: June 12, 2027)
  • Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
  • Division: Technology

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3-5+ years of project management experience—preferably in healthcare IT, provider, or hospital settings
  • Experience working with providers or hospitals and clinical informatics teams
  • Familiarity with Epic; Epic hospital implementation experience is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex technical and clinical information to technical teams, clinical staff, and executive leadership
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (RAID, RACI, project planning)
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive decisions
  • Must complete the Epic Project Manager Assessment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a designated workstream within a large-scale healthcare implementation project (examples: Facility Structure/Epic Build, Cutover Night, Appointment Conversion, Infrastructure)
  • Coordinate resources and schedules for gap analysis sessions and discovery workshops
  • Partner with Clinical Informatics to gather findings and package deliverables for stakeholders
  • Ensure successful completion of assigned workstream within project timelines and quality standards
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders across clinical, technical, and executive levels
  • Apply project management best practices to drive efficiency and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals, dependencies, and cutover activities
