Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics / Mother Baby
- Environment: Unit-based care with opportunities to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Recent OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
- BLS preferred upon hire, with completion prior to direct patient care; ACLS may be accepted in lieu of BLS
- NRP preferred at hire, with completion within 3 months of hire
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification preferred if interpreting fetal monitoring
- BSN preferred
- Comfortable working nights, high-acuity situations, and a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for women, newborns, and families across the labor and delivery, postpartum, triage, and obstetrics setting
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes throughout the course of care
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, including electronic fetal monitoring and OB-related assessments
- Support labor management, triage, stabilization, and emergency response as needed
- Assist with circulating and recovering C-sections; scrub experience is a plus but not required
- Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, self-care, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and efficient unit environment while adapting to changing patient needs
