- Charting System: Epic
- On-Call: Not required
- Floating: May be asked to support like units as needed
- Schedule Flexibility: Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN certifications
- LA Fire Card required within 30 days
- Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room
- Comfort working with patient ratios of 1:2 in a fast-paced maternity unit
- Strong charting experience in Epic or a similar electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ability to provide 2 professional references covering the last 1 year
- Availability to commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays during the assignment
- Open to first-time travel nurses with the right clinical background
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Monitor patients, assess changes in condition, and respond quickly to clinical needs
- Assist with and circulate cesarean sections as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams
- Support neonatal stabilization and work closely with nursery and postpartum teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate clearly with the care team
- Provide flexible support by floating to like units when needed
- Contribute to a positive patient experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
