Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Ability to work the full 12-hour night schedule, including Friday through Sunday
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to safe maternal-newborn care
Labor & Delivery Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns.
- Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries while collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications and treatments, perform nursing assessments, and document care accurately in Epic.
- Provide immediate newborn care and assist with neonatal stabilization as needed.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
- Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment.
