Job Requirements
- Current Texas RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Current ACLS certification from AHA
- Current NRP certification
- Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification
- At least 1 year of labor & delivery nursing experience or related perinatal nursing experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and prioritization skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work confidently in a collaborative clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in labor and delivery
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate clinical protocols
- Monitor patients for response to interventions and report changes promptly
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, procedures, and available resources
- Support complex emotional, psychological, cultural, and social needs with compassion and professionalism
- Collaborate with the care team and assist with assignments and delegation as appropriate
