Hospital Phlebotomist / Phlebotomy Technician — Full-time 13-week contract in Philadelphia, PA (19104). - Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturday shift (~every 7–8 weeks)
- Shift Options: 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (start date: May 25, 2026)
- Setting: Clinical laboratory / hospital — inpatient and outpatient specimen collection
Job Requirements (Phlebotomy Qualifications)
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in hospital, clinical laboratory, or outpatient settings
- Ability to work assigned shift (7:00am–3:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm) and rotating Saturdays as scheduled
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills for patient-facing roles
- High attention to detail, commitment to patient safety, and accurate documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification and experience with venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen handling preferred
- Familiarity with CLIA, infection control, and HIPAA practices is a plus
Responsibilities (Phlebotomist / Laboratory Duties)
- Perform venipuncture and capillary specimen collection for routine and STAT laboratory testing
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, processing, and transport of specimens according to lab protocols
- Provide professional, compassionate interaction with patients, nursing staff, and providers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the laboratory information system
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and CLIA/HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with routine lab duties, supply management, and quality control tasks as needed
