Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/GNA) Jobs – Long-Term Care Float Pool in Baltimore, Maryland

CNA/GNA Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $760–$820
  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Healthcare Setting: Adult and geriatric long-term care float pool
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
  • End Date: February 8, 2027
  • Assignment Length: 14 weeks
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Orientation: 24 hours across multiple units; orientation is scheduled Tuesday through Friday on day shift
  • Float Expectations: Float within scope based on unit needs, patient acuity, and staffing

Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of CNA/GNA experience required
  • Active Maryland GNA certification required at the time of submission
  • Active CNA certification required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Experience with PointClickCare or a comparable electronic documentation system required
  • Prior experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, acute care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or similar healthcare settings preferred
  • Ability to float across like units and provide patient care within scope of practice
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, communication, and teamwork skills

CNA/GNA Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, compassionate hands-on care to adult and geriatric patients across assigned units
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, hygiene, feeding, toileting, dressing, and oral care
  • Obtain and document vital signs, weights, oxygen saturation, intake and output, blood glucose readings, and other assigned measurements
  • Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, range-of-motion exercises, and use of mobility equipment
  • Support pressure injury prevention, fall prevention, incontinence care, catheter care, and other routine patient-care activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment while following infection prevention and PPE procedures
  • Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
  • Document care accurately in PointClickCare and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary support teams
  • Adapt quickly to assignments in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, medical-surgical/telemetry, behavioral health, stepdown, and other appropriate units
