Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Home Health | McKinney, TX
Travel LVN home health contract in McKinney, Texas: provide wound care, medication management, and patient assessments on a weekday schedule.
Bring skilled, compassionate nursing care directly to patients in their homes as a Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) serving McKinney and the North Texas area. You’ll make home health visits, support wound care and medication management, and complete thorough patient assessments. This approximately 12-week travel nursing assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule in a growing North Texas community with local parks, historic downtown attractions, and access to Dallas-area amenities.
Travel LVN Job Details
- Location: McKinney, TX 75071; home health visits within the service area
- Assignment: Travel contract, approximately 12 weeks
- Dates: November 9, 2026–January 31, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Shift duration: 8 hours
- Shifts per week: 5
- Hours per week: 40
- Weekly estimated pay: $1,370–$1,440
- Additional scheduling requirement: On-call and weekend coverage may be required across the service area
- Mileage: Reimbursement is provided for travel between visits, from the first patient to the last
- Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
Home Health LVN Job Requirements
- Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- At least 1 year of home health experience
- Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) electronic documentation
- Ability to travel between patient visits and provide nursing care in patients’ homes
Home Health LVN Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled home health visits and provide skilled nursing care in patients’ homes
- Provide wound care and monitor patients’ responses to treatment
- Complete medication reconciliation and communicate relevant findings to the care team
- Perform thorough head-to-toe patient assessments and document care in HCHB
- Meet the assignment’s productivity expectation of 30
- Participate in required on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled
