Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Maine or a valid compact RN license
- At least 1 year of registered nurse experience preferred
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehab, or geriatric nursing preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
- Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting
- Support a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents
- Deliver resident-centered care for individuals with dementia, rehabilitation, and long-term placement needs
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care providers to promote high-quality resident outcomes
- Perform skilled nursing tasks as needed, including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment
- Communicate effectively with residents using both verbal and non-verbal techniques when appropriate
- Adapt to changing unit needs and provide flexible coverage across assigned areas
