- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient (Level 3A NICU, multi-specialty group)
- Practice Support: 2 Perinatologists, 3 OB/GYNs, 1 GYN, 2 Neonatologists, 3 CRNPs, 5 CNMs, 7 NICU midlevel providers
- Average Patient Volume: Outpatient: 30/day; Inpatient: 10/day; Admissions: 2; Discharges: 2
- EMR: Epic (EPIC experience preferred)
- Location: Johnstown, PA 15905 — Western Pennsylvania near the Laurel Highlands (hiking, biking, outdoor activities)
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania State Medical License (PA)
- Active PA DEA registration
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (ABOG)
- Completed ACGME- or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in maternal-fetal medicine or perinatology (MFM experience preferred)
- Current certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and accurate clinical documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine care for high-risk pregnancies in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex obstetric cases, including pregnancy-induced hypertension, HELLP syndrome, diabetes, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, and hematologic/oncologic disorders
- Perform and interpret advanced ultrasounds, including Level II/targeted scans and fetal echocardiography
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures: amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, intrauterine transfusion, multifetal pregnancy reduction, fetal blood sampling, chorionic villus sampling
- Participate in deliveries, including vaginal, C-section, VBAC, vaginal breech, and instrument-assisted deliveries
- Ensure timely response to C-section calls (15-minute response time)
- Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR and communicate care plans with neonatology and NICU midlevel providers
