Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- End Date: February 15, 2027
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., including a 30-minute meal break
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; night weekend shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care Med/Surg and Infectious Disease unit
- Unit Size: 18 beds
- Charting System: EPIC
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience; travel nursing experience is required
- Strong experience with infectious disease care, isolation precautions, COVID-19, MRSA, and C. difficile patients
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Recent EPIC electronic health record (EHR) charting experience
- Ability to provide an unexpired driver's license during the submission process
- Ability to float to other Med/Surg units and care for patients within your demonstrated competency
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and infectious disease patients in an 18-bed unit
- Manage typical Med/Surg IV medications, including antibiotics, heparin, and other ordered therapies
- Apply appropriate isolation and infection-prevention practices for patients with communicable or multidrug-resistant infections
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, complete assessments, and promptly communicate changes in condition
- Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC
- Collaborate with providers, nursing assistants, respiratory therapy, and other members of the healthcare team
- Care for patients who may require CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen with respiratory therapy support
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and holiday coverage as unit needs require
- Float to other Med/Surg areas when needed while maintaining safe, competent patient care
