Job Requirements
- 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience prior to travel required
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
- One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Previous experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias preferred
- Must be able to meet all submission and compliance requirements at the time of application
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Interpret dysrhythmias and support timely interventions for telemetry patients
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and document patient care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
- Prioritize care for a varied patient population in a dynamic acute care setting
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong communication throughout the assignment
