Travel Nursing Job Details

- Schedule: 36 hours per week

- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification before the assignment begins
- Active certifications must be in hand at the time of submission; pending certifications are not accepted
- One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the applicable specialty, preferably from the past 12 months
- Successful completion of required credentialing, background screening, and facility compliance processes
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm-recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry-related changes within established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while maintaining patient safety standards
- Care for patients with orthopedic, medical, and surgical needs throughout their hospitalization
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education, discharge preparation, and continuity-of-care support
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and provide effective shift-to-shift handoff communication
