- Shift Structure: 3 shifts per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,740 - $1,840
- Weekend Coverage: Required, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Unit Setting: Fast-paced short-term acute care telemetry environment
- Charting System: Any EHR experience accepted; EPIC experience is a plus
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in hand; compact license required at submission if applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience caring for patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Strong telemetry skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with neuro and stroke patient populations
- Comfortable floating between units as needed
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and required holidays as assigned
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-moving clinical setting
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support care for patients with stroke, seizure, neurosurgical, and other neurologic diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established charting procedures
- Assist with rapid response and code team processes when indicated
- Promote a safe, patient-centered environment while delivering high-quality care
