- Weekend Requirement: Yes, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Unit Census: 27
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC experience preferred
- Float: May float between units as needed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,740 - $1,840
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state or compact state license in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Recent Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
- Experience with rapid response events and code team support
- Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment with complex neuro and telemetry patients
- Strong documentation skills and experience with electronic health records, preferably EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support patients with neurological and cardiovascular conditions, including stroke, seizures, and neurosurgical recovery
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Assist with oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway support
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, and support staff to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate charting and uphold unit standards in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry environment
- Adapt to floating assignments and contribute to a strong team-based patient care culture
