Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Pomona, CA

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state
- At least 3 years of professional nursing experience, including Medical-Surgical, telemetry, or Observation Care experience
- Previous telemetry nursing experience with the ability to interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Ability to provide required credentials, professional references, and requested compliance documentation
- Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week in an on-site healthcare setting
Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to patients in an Observation Care setting
- Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and identify changes requiring intervention
- Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly communicate significant findings to the appropriate care team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, nursing standards, and facility policies
- Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, timely patient transitions
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered environment while following unit and facility standards
