- Unit/Setting: Internal Medicine / Cardiac Telemetry (Med/Surg Telemetry, H81)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Travel Contract Nursing)
- Start Date: June 12, 2026
- End Date: September 11, 2026
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am); weekends only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Type: Travel RN / Contract Registered Nurse
Minimum Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (recent; travel experience accepted)
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be active)
- One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work at least every other holiday during the contract
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit (cardiac telemetry monitoring)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, start/maintain lines, and perform complex patient assessments
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, pharmacists, therapists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float as needed to similar units (J1-2, J33, and ED) caring for the same patient population
- Participate in required orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training modules
