- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 7:00am – 7:30pm / Nights: 7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Hematology/Oncology Unit (may float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed)
- Type: Travel, On-Site — Travel nursing, on-site clinical role
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience (travel experience accepted)
- Permanent Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Compact State RN license in hand
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NIHSS certification required
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty required
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work at least every other holiday during the contract
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including hematology/oncology patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition — telemetry nurse responsibilities
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, pharmacists, social work, and case management) to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed to support hospital operations and staffing needs
- Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training as required
