- Setting: Internal Medicine / Telemetry Unit (Med/Surg Tele RN; may float to similar units as needed)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Travel Nurse Contract)
- Start Date: June 12, 2026
- Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am – 7:30pm; Night: 7:00pm – 7:30am; 3 shifts/week, totaling 36 hours per week)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (Competitive travel RN pay)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract Nurse (Travel RN / Registered Nurse)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (permanent or travel telemetry nursing experience)
- Active and unrestricted Ohio RN license in hand, or Compact State RN license
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- One supervisory reference in the specialty required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work at least every other holiday during the contract
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Internal Medicine/Telemetry unit as a Med/Surg Tele RN
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessments
- Administer medications safely, including IV medications, and perform accurate patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to other units (J1-2, J33, and ED) as needed to support hospital operations
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with hospital policies
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, ECG and competency assessments (safeMedicate), and unit-based education
