- Role: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel RN
- Setting: Hematology/Oncology Med/Surg Telemetry unit (may float to similar units)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: June 12, 2026
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (permanent or travel)
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work every other holiday as scheduled
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit with hematology/oncology patients
- Continuous cardiac/telemetry monitoring and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications safely and perform nursing assessments consistent with telemetry RN scope
- Collaborate with physicians, APNs, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to similar units (J1-2, J33, and ED) as needed to support patient care and staffing flexibility
- Document patient care promptly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, competency assessments, and unit safety initiatives
