Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Location: Titusville, FL 32796 – Space Coast, Florida travel nurse job
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Mixed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00); 4 shifts in orientation week (36–40 hours), then 3 shifts/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 – $1,420
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Telemetry RN / Med-Surg RN experience with 1:6 ratio required)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope of practice
• Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36–40 hours first week)
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (acute care / PCU)
• Active Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA); NIHSS required or willing to obtain prior to start
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and cardiac drips (no titration)
• Comfort with 1:6 patient ratios and high-acuity caseloads
• Rapid Response team experience and total joint/post-op care experience required
• Adult and geriatric patient care experience
• Must be able to float to other units within scope as needed
• Must live more than 30 miles from the facility (no local travelers)
• Ability to complete required online modules (~4 hours) prior to start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU settings
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage cardiac drips per policy (no titration)
• Respond to rapid response events and codes as part of the emergency response team
• Provide post-surgical, cardiac, and total joint replacement patient care
• Float to other units within scope when required to support staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech electronic health record (Meditech EMR)
• Follow hospital policies related to scheduling, call-outs, and holiday coverage
