Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Travel RN Role / Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Mixed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00); 4 shifts during orientation week (36–40 hours), then standard schedule
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (competitive Travel RN pay)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience expected)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope
• Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36–40 hours first week)
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in an acute care setting
• Active Florida RN license or compact RN (eNLC) license—must be in hand at submission
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA); NIHSS required or willing to obtain prior to start
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac drips (no titration)
• Rapid Response team experience and total joint replacement experience required
• Ability to float to other units within scope as needed
• Must live more than 30 miles from the facility (no local travelers)
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Available for all mandatory orientation shifts and required holiday coverage

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry; manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respond to rapid response situations and collaborate with the Rapid Response team
• Administer medications, manage IVs, provide wound care and tracheostomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and case management
• Float to other units within scope as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech electronic health record (EHR)
• Complete required clinical orientation and pre-start modules prior to the assignment
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding scheduling, call-outs, and holiday coverage
