- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: Epic
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: May float between like units as needed
- Orientation: 24 hours
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of Mother/Baby, postpartum, or couplet care experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS and NRP certification required
- ACLS may be required based on unit needs
- Strong Epic charting experience required
- Experience managing a 1:4 patient ratio in an acute care setting
- Ability to provide care for mothers and newborns in a fast-paced postpartum unit
- Comfortable with weekend coverage and occasional floating to like units
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate postpartum care to mothers and newborns
- Assess maternal and newborn condition, vital signs, and recovery progress
- Support breastfeeding education, newborn care teaching, and discharge preparation
- Monitor couplets for postpartum concerns, including hemorrhage risk, pain, and feeding issues
- Assist with newborn assessments, thermoregulation, and routine couplet care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, lactation support, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of patient safety
- Deliver patient-centered care while promoting comfort, confidence, and family bonding
