Job Requirements

  • Active Michigan state license required at time of submission
  • Board certification required (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent)
  • NRP certification required
  • At least 1 year of neonatal experience required; new graduates are not accepted
  • Experience in a neonatal or Level III NICU setting strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
  • Credentialing timeline is approximately 120+ days

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced neonatal care for infants in a Level III NICU
  • Attend deliveries and respond to neonatal resuscitation needs
  • Perform PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement as needed
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and the neonatal care team to support safe, high-quality patient care
  • Document patient care, assessments, and clinical updates accurately in Epic
  • Manage a steady neonatal patient load in a fast-paced inpatient NICU setting
  • Provide care in alignment with established protocols, unit standards, and Michigan healthcare best practices
