• Start Date: May 5, 2026
• End Date: August 4, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour nights (18:00 – 06:30) – Night Shift NICU RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications (NICU RN / Neonatal Nurse)

• Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year NICU specialty experience
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS (current)
• Experience with neonatal respiratory support: Bubble CPAP, High Frequency Ventilation, Oscillators, ventilator modes (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
• Clinical skills: Central line/implanted line care, central line blood draws, PICC line care, intubation support, ROP exam assistance, spinal taps
• Medication skills: ability to titrate Dopamine
• LA Fire Card within last 30 days (required)
• References: 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Scheduling: willing to work every other weekend (may exceed) and commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application

NICU Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality neonatal care to infants in a 14-bed Level III NICU (approx. 190 births/month)
• Monitor and manage neonates with prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and other neonatal diagnoses
• Perform and assist with specialized NICU procedures including central lines, intubations, ROP exams, and spinal taps
• Manage advanced neonatal equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers, high-frequency vents/oscillators
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy) to support family-centered care
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
• Adhere to hospital policies, compliance standards, and infection control protocols
