- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/19/2026 – End: 8/18/2026)
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 06:30) — Night shift NICU RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Charting / EMR: Epic (electronic health record)

Job Requirements
- Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start) — ideal for California nursing jobs and travel nurses
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of NICU specialty / neonatal intensive care experience
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Clinical skills: Bubble CPAP, central line blood draw and care, PICC lines, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
- Experience with High Frequency Ventilation, oscillators, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers
- Ability to titrate Dopamine
- LA Fire Card within the last 30 days (required)
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to work weekends as needed and to float between facilities within the state if required
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, family-centered, compassionate care to neonates and infants in a Level III NICU setting
- Manage and monitor patients with prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and other complex neonatal diagnoses
- Perform and assist with procedures such as central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations (no surgeries performed at this facility)
- Operate and manage neonatal respiratory support including CPAP, BIPAP, ventilators, high-frequency vents/oscillators
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy to ensure coordinated neonatal care
- Utilize Epic for accurate charting, documentation, and handoffs
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, participate in orientation, and complete required training modules
- Provide patient and family education, discharge teaching, and bedside support for families of neonates
