• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/19/2026 – End: 8/18/2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 06:30) — Night shift NICU RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start) — ideal for California nursing jobs and travel nurses
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of NICU specialty / neonatal intensive care experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Clinical skills: Bubble CPAP, central line blood draw and care, PICC lines, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Experience with High Frequency Ventilation, oscillators, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers
• Ability to titrate Dopamine
• LA Fire Card within the last 30 days (required)
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work weekends as needed and to float between facilities within the state if required
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered, compassionate care to neonates and infants in a Level III NICU setting
• Manage and monitor patients with prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and other complex neonatal diagnoses
• Perform and assist with procedures such as central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations (no surgeries performed at this facility)
• Operate and manage neonatal respiratory support including CPAP, BIPAP, ventilators, high-frequency vents/oscillators
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy to ensure coordinated neonatal care
• Utilize Epic for accurate charting, documentation, and handoffs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, participate in orientation, and complete required training modules
• Provide patient and family education, discharge teaching, and bedside support for families of neonates
