Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Assignment in Seattle, WA

Seattle, WA travel nursing opportunity for an experienced Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (RN) providing expert care to critically ill infants and children.

Travel Nurse Job Details

  • Position: Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse
  • Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,500
  • Start Date: November 16, 2026
  • End Date: February 15, 2027
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call: No call required
  • Patient Population: Neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
  • Orientation: Approximately 36 hours
  • Float Expectations: May float to NICU, PICU, or pediatric units when needed

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including pediatric and/or neonatal critical care experience
  • Demonstrated experience with ground critical care transport is required
  • Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
  • Valid Washington State or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
  • Epic electronic medical record and clinical documentation experience required
  • Proficiency caring for ventilated patients and managing acute airways, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
  • Experience with pediatric dosage calculations, IV vasopressors, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, sedation, and dysrhythmia management
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years
  • Flexibility to work three of the five designated winter holidays when scheduled

Pediatric and Neonatal Transport RN Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive critical care nursing during ground transport of neonatal and pediatric patients
  • Coordinate with respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers to ensure safe, clinically appropriate patient transport
  • Assess, stabilize, monitor, and treat critically ill patients before and throughout transport
  • Retrieve patients from emergency departments, NICUs, PICUs, labor and delivery units, and surrounding hospitals
  • Manage ventilators, acute airways, tracheostomies, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and continuous infusions
  • Perform and interpret relevant clinical assessments, including end-tidal CO2 monitoring and arterial blood gases
  • Administer medications safely, including anti-seizure medications, sedatives, and IV vasopressors
  • Document assessments, interventions, transport events, and patient responses accurately in Epic
  • Maintain transport equipment and follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols
  • Provide bedside nursing support in NICU, PICU, or pediatric units when transport coverage is not required
