Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required
- Active Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner license required at time of submission
- Current CPR certification required; in-person certification only
- Ability to commit to the full scheduled assignment and work hours
- Experience in corrections, correctional healthcare, behavioral health, substance use treatment, or community-based care is preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism in a structured care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive advanced practice care to patients within a correctional treatment setting
- Perform patient assessments, evaluations, and ongoing clinical management
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
- Document care accurately and maintain timely, compliant medical records
- Support continuity of care and contribute to treatment-focused rehabilitation efforts
- Follow facility protocols, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines
