  • Role: Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET/CT (PET CT technologist, nuclear imaging)
  • Setting: PET/CT Unit; nuclear medicine / imaging department
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
  • Shift: Days, Monday–Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030–$2190/week

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or PET/CT technologist
  • Registered in both Nuclear Medicine and CT (hybrid Nuclear Medicine/CT role)
  • SCRQSA certification (required)
  • ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered
  • ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification (required for South Carolina)
  • BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR (electronic medical record)
  • Experience with Siemens PET/CT equipment required; GE & Philips experience preferred
  • Experience performing PET scans and handling radiopharmaceuticals
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PET/CT scans and related nuclear medicine procedures for adult patients (PET imaging, hybrid PET/CT studies)
  • Operate Siemens PET/CT equipment; adapt to GE or Philips systems as needed
  • Start and maintain IVs for radiopharmaceutical administration when required
  • Safely store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials; follow radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
  • Document procedures, imaging data, and patient information accurately in EPIC EMR
  • Float to other qualified units as needed and support interdisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging workflow
