• Shifts: 4–5 shifts per week

• Call: Night and weekend beeper/phone call coverage, approximately 1:4
• Practice Setting: Clinic and hospital-based oncology care
• Patient Population: 100% adult
• Inpatient/Outpatient Mix: Approximately 20% inpatient and 80% outpatient
• Average Patient Volume: Approximately 16–20 clinic patients and 2–4 hospital patients per day

Medical Oncologist Job Requirements

• Active board certification in Medical Oncology
• Completion of a Medical Oncology fellowship
• At least 2 years of post-training experience in Medical Oncology
• Active Ohio medical license preferred; qualified physicians eligible for licensure may be considered
• Active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility preferred
• Current ACLS certification
• Active DEA registration
• Clean professional background and licensure history
• Availability for approximately 4 weeks at a time preferred; candidates able to provide slightly shorter periods may be considered

Medical Oncology Physician Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Medical Oncology care for adult patients in outpatient and hospital-based settings
• Evaluate new and established patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate ongoing cancer care
• Manage approximately 16–20 outpatient clinic visits and 2–4 hospital patients per day
• Participate in night and weekend call coverage on an approximately 1:4 rotation
• Respond to clinical questions and urgent patient needs through beeper or telephone call coverage
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support safe, high-quality oncology outcomes
