Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Infusion | Sidney, Montana
Join an experienced oncology care team as an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion care in Sidney, Montana. This 13-week outpatient oncology nursing contract offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to deliver meaningful, patient-centered care throughout the cancer treatment journey. Outpatient Oncology RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
- Location: Sidney, Montana
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient oncology, hematology-oncology, chemotherapy, and infusion services
- Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Contract: 13-week nursing contract
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: February 1, 2027
- Call: No call required
Oncology Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Montana
- At least 2 years of experience administering chemotherapy
- Clinical experience in oncology, hematology-oncology, outpatient infusion, or a related specialty
- Experience using EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration Certification required
- Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and oncology patient education skills
- Commitment to safe medication administration, infection prevention, and high-quality cancer care
Outpatient Infusion RN Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion treatments
- Complete health history reviews, nursing assessments, and ongoing monitoring of patient condition
- Verify and carry out provider orders in accordance with oncology nursing standards and established procedures
- Administer chemotherapy, biologic therapies, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to symptoms, infusion reactions, and changes in condition
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, symptom management, and when to seek assistance
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and members of the cancer care team
- Perform patient triage and address treatment-related questions and care needs
- Document care accurately in EPIC and support quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives
