Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – OR Circulator Contract in Bucyrus, Ohio
Join a collaborative surgical services team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Bucyrus, Ohio. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers an opportunity to provide high-quality perioperative care as an OR circulator in a community hospital setting. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Bucyrus, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,320–$2,440
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, from November 23, 2026 through February 22, 2027
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Typical Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; occasional 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. shifts may be required
- Weekend/Friday Requirement: Every third Friday
- Position: Operating Room RN and OR Circulator
- Float: May be required to support multiple area campuses, including locations in Bucyrus, Galion, and Ontario
- Orientation: 16 hours, with up to 8 hours of required pre-start learning modules
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent, continuous Operating Room nursing experience
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to float between assigned area campuses as needed
- Availability to respond within 1 hour if placed on call
- Compliance with required COVID-19 and influenza vaccination policies, with applicable medical or religious exemptions considered
Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities
- Serve as the OR circulator during surgical procedures, coordinating care and maintaining a safe operating environment
- Complete preoperative assessments and verify patient, procedure, consent, and surgical-site information
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
- Maintain aseptic technique and support adherence to surgical safety standards
- Document perioperative care accurately in the electronic health record
- Prepare the operating room, coordinate equipment and supplies, and support efficient room turnover
- Provide safe patient positioning, transport, handoff, and postoperative communication
- Float to other assigned locations when needed while maintaining consistent standards of patient care
- Participate in required orientation, education, and competency activities
