Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Cleveland, Ohio
Experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) needed in Cleveland, Ohio, for an evening-shift perioperative nursing assignment. Join a high-acuity operating room team at a Level I academic medical center and circulate complex thoracic, vascular, trauma, and robotic surgical procedures. Travel OR RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500–$2,630
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Shift: Evening shift, approximately 11:00 a.m.–9:45 p.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirements: Call coverage, weekend shifts, and holiday shifts may be required with advance notice
- Healthcare Setting: On-site operating room in a Level I academic medical center with 33 operating rooms
- Surgical Services: Thoracic, vascular, trauma, robotic, and other specialty procedures
Travel Operating Room RN Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Ohio
- At least 1 year of operating room or perioperative nursing experience
- Recent experience circulating thoracic, vascular, and trauma procedures
- Strong knowledge of surgical safety practices, sterile technique, and intraoperative patient care
- Ability to work evening shifts and participate in call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Operating room scrub experience is a plus
- Successful completion of required competency validation and onboarding requirements
Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities
- Circulate thoracic, vascular, trauma, and other complex surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and instruments for scheduled cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and nursing colleagues to support safe and efficient procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold surgical counts, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards
- Support robotic and specialty surgical cases across a diverse operating room service line
- Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures
- Respond to call assignments and support weekend or holiday operations when scheduled
