- Unit Setting: Adult medical-surgical overflow unit with telemetry and surveillance monitoring
- Patient Population: Orthopedic, non-acute stroke, neuro-surgical, and trauma patients
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent acute care, medical-surgical, orthopedic nursing, or telemetry nursing experience
- Experience caring for adult inpatients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong patient assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a monitored inpatient setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical inpatients with orthopedic and trauma needs
- Monitor patients using telemetry and surveillance technology
- Support zero-harm initiatives, patient safety, and quality care standards
- Enhance the patient experience through pain management, proactive rounding, and bedside handoff
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes for neuro-surgical, stroke, and trauma patients
- Maintain accurate documentation and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
