Travel PCU RN — 13-week Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) travel assignment in Asheville, NC (28801). Night-shift travel nurse opportunity in acute care and telemetry.

- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (compact or state license as required for North Carolina)
- Minimum 1 year recent PCU, step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care experience
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative interdisciplinary environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients as a PCU RN
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry/cardiac monitoring, recognizing changes and escalating care as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and according to orders
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support recovery
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
