We are seeking a Pharmacist - Retail for an on-site opportunity in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will support pharmacy clinical programs, promote safe and effective medication use, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to help improve patient outcomes. Pharmacist Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy plus 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience
  • At least 5 years practice experience or accredited Managed Care Residency
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology, disease management, and medication safety
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Prior authorization review experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities associated with the clinical components of the pharmacy benefit
  • Review data, resolve issues, and coordinate tasks related to pharmacy clinical programs
  • Provide clinical support to interdisciplinary teams to improve healthcare outcomes and patient safety
  • Recommend cost-effective medication therapy strategies and support efficient care coordination
  • Ensure an accurate, clinically appropriate, and cost-effective formulary through drug review and placement recommendations
  • Support formulary maintenance, including communication with members, providers, and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and pharmacy program initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and pharmacy standards
  • Conduct drug information research as needed
  • Perform outbound provider outreach regarding patient-specific and population health medication safety and quality opportunities
  • Document outreach activity according to program requirements
  • Track provider engagement trends, barriers, and feedback
