• Location: Staten Island, New York 10310 — easy access to NYC; excellent local parks and community amenities (Staten Island, NY healthcare opportunity)
• Setting: Acute care academic hospital, 300 active beds
• Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 5:00 AM (weekend call coverage)

  September 4th, 5p-September 7th, 7a

  September 18th, 5p- September 21st, 7a

• Shift Type: Part-time locum tenens (weekend call)
• Duration: Ongoing / indefinite locum urology assignment
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Board certification in Urology (board-certified Urologist)
• Active New York medical license or eligibility to obtain NY licensure
• Minimum of 1 year post-residency clinical experience in Urology
• Ability to respond onsite within 30 minutes while on call
• Experience supervising and mentoring residents and physician assistants
• Comfort managing routine and urgent urology consults during weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend call coverage for routine and urgent urology cases, including difficult Foley placements, kidney stones, and acute consults
• Respond to consults and emergencies with a required 30-minute onsite response time
• Collaborate with PA support who will perform initial assessments and assist with patient care
• Supervise and support resident education, including night shift teaching and case management
• Utilize personal phone for off-site call coordination when needed
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care in an academic hospital setting
