Job Description
Physician, Internal Medicine / Primary Care Physician (PCP)
New York City Metro Area | Outpatient | Multi-Site Practice
New York City needs great primary care physicians. This organization has spent years building the infrastructure, the team, and the culture to actually support them.
If you're an Internal Medicine physician who wants to practice at the top of your license — without the administrative chaos, the hospital politics, or the burnout that comes from feeling like you're on your own — this is worth your attention.
The Organization
This is one of the largest and most established primary and specialty care groups in the New York metropolitan area, serving hundreds of thousands of patients across more than 30 offices spanning all five boroughs and Long Island. They are growing — and they invest in the physicians who grow with them.
This is not a startup. This is not a private equity rollup. This is a stable, physician-aligned organization with the scale to support you and the culture to retain you.
The Role
Full-scope outpatient primary care — the kind of medicine you trained for. You'll build real relationships with patients over time, manage complex chronic conditions, coordinate across specialties, and practice with a genuine focus on preventive care and population health.
- Full-spectrum primary care: diagnosis, treatment, disease management, preventive care
- Relationship-centered care model — you'll know your patients
- Integrated care coordination and specialist referral support
- Interdisciplinary team behind you — you're not practicing in isolation
- EMR infrastructure and clinical support staff in place
What Makes This Different
- Outpatient only — predictable schedule, no hospital rounding, no overnight call
- 30+ office locations across NYC and Long Island — multiple placement options
- Population health focus — for physicians who want to practice proactively, not reactively
- Both new graduates and experienced physicians welcomed — no arbitrary experience cutoff
- Organizational stability — half a million patients don't come from an unstable practice
What You Bring
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
- U.S.-accredited Internal Medicine residency (3-year program)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Active or eligible New York State medical license
- DEA registration (active or eligible)
- Medicare/Medicaid enrollment (active or eligible)
- BLS or ACLS certification
- Strong communicator — with patients, families, and care teams alike
- 1–3 years of outpatient experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary
- Sign-on bonus
- Productivity incentive model
- Malpractice insurance covered
- CME reimbursement
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) retirement plan
This is a rare combination — the reach and resources of a large, established group with a care model that still puts the physician-patient relationship at the center. If you want to build a meaningful primary care practice in New York without building it from scratch, this is the opportunity.
