- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric behavioral health patients
- Healthcare Setting: Inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health units
- Dress Code: Navy or royal blue scrubs
Psychiatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and across adolescent and adult behavioral health units
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and crisis-management skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient behavioral health environment
Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Assess patient conditions, monitor behavioral and clinical changes, and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
- Support patients experiencing conditions such as major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to support patient stabilization and recovery goals
- Provide care while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios, including approximately 1:10 for adult and geriatric patients and 1:12 for adolescent patients
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
