Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) – Travel Assignment | Portland, OR 97225

Travel Radiology Technologist opportunity in Portland, OR — ARRT (R) required. 13-week travel radiology job starting May 4, 2026 at a short-term acute care teaching hospital. Join our imaging team and gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic imaging in a vibrant Pacific Northwest city.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) or Diagnostic Imaging Technologist
  • Active ARRT (R) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Oregon state license (pending submissions accepted)
  • Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • Comfortable caring for a wide range of patient ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
  • Reliable vehicle required for assignment
  • Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals if needed
  • Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiologic procedures: extremities, abdomen, spine, chest, musculoskeletal, surgery/C-Arm, and more
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment including Carestream, O-arm, and Philips systems
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required and follow contrast safety protocols
  • Follow radiation safety practices and infection prevention standards for patient and staff protection
  • Provide high-quality patient care across units including adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, ER, and OR
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide scheduled weekend coverage
  • Document procedures, image data, and patient interactions accurately in Epic and hospital records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes
  • Complete orientation modules and ongoing competency training as required
