Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340–$2,460 per week
- Assignment: 13-week Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: November 23, 2026
- Department: Med/Surg Tele Float Pool
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5–6 on days and nights, with occasional assignments of up to 7 patients depending on acuity and staffing needs
Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical nursing and/or telemetry care
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Ability to work independently and adapt to assignments across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units
- Due to a 50-mile radius rule, submissions must include a copy of an unexpired driver's license
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Float between assigned units while maintaining safe, organized, and patient-centered care
- Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
- Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in condition promptly
