Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Home Health & Hospice | Marquette, Michigan
Travel Physical Therapist job in Marquette, MI: provide home health and hospice care on a 13-week assignment with weekday scheduling and a 32-hour weekly guarantee. Bring compassionate, individualized physical therapy directly to patients throughout Marquette County and western Alger County. You’ll complete home-based admissions, evaluations, reassessments, and discharges, develop tailored plans of care, and collaborate with physical therapy assistants and the wider care team. Marquette, in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula, is known for its Lake Superior shoreline and year-round outdoor recreation.
Travel Physical Therapist Job Details
- Location: Marquette County and the western portion of Alger County, Michigan; coverage is within approximately one hour of Marquette
- Setting: Home health and hospice physical therapy
- Assignment: 13 weeks, November 2, 2026–January 30, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,190
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, during office hours of 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; clinicians self-schedule
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Weekly Hours: 32-hour guarantee
- Productivity Expectation: 30 points per week
- On-call/Weekend Requirement: None
- Mileage: Reimbursed between patient visits
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs or a navy polo with khaki, black, or navy slacks
Physical Therapist Job Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current Physical Therapist license in Michigan
- At least 1 year of physical therapy experience, including home health experience
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area and follow directions between patient visits
Home Health Physical Therapist Responsibilities
- Complete physical therapy admissions, add-on evaluations, reassessments, and discharges in patients’ homes
- Develop individualized home health and hospice plans of care based on each patient’s needs and goals
- Supervise and collaborate with physical therapy assistants in delivering patient care
- Participate in weekly case conferences and monthly staff meetings
- Manage travel between visits across the assigned Michigan coverage area
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
- Wound care or lymphedema certification
