Travel RN – Rehab Registered Nurse in San Francisco, CA. 13-week travel contract; California RN license required. Night shift (3x12).

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 – 07:00) — travel RN night shift
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
- Orientation: 16 hours
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient rehab nursing experience (acute rehab nurse, rehabilitation RN)
- Active California RN license (required at time of submission) — California nursing license
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Epic charting system experience preferred (electronic medical records, EMR)
- Ability to float to Med/Surg units as needed; adaptable travel RN
- Patient ratio experience: 5:1
- 7-year work history verification required
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
- Locals accepted at local rate
Key Responsibilities (Rehab RN / Travel RN)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in an acute rehab setting — rehabilitation nursing responsibilities
- Administer blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, antiseizure medications, and manage assistive devices
- Monitor blood glucose, manage ports and central lines (PICC), and care for ventilated patients and patients with chronic renal failure/dialysis
- Implement infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, and fall risk assessments
- Provide patient teaching, diabetic education, and manage feeding devices/adaptive equipment
- Perform wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, and suture/staple removal
- Conduct stroke scale assessments, pain management, and neuromuscular disease care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
- Float to other CPMC locations as needed based on census (CPMC float coverage)
