Respiratory Care Navigator – RRT or RN (In Home)
Summary
The Respiratory Care Navigator provides advanced clinical support, education, and direct patient care for pediatric and/or ALS ventilator-dependent patients in the home setting. This role serves as the primary clinical liaison for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring safe equipment use, ongoing respiratory stability, and continuity of care outside the hospital environment.

Summary
The Respiratory Care Navigator provides advanced clinical support, education, and direct patient care for pediatric and/or ALS ventilator-dependent patients in the home setting. This role serves as the primary clinical liaison for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring safe equipment use, ongoing respiratory stability, and continuity of care outside the hospital environment.
Essential Functions
- Manage and monitor a caseload of ventilator-dependent patients in the home
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments
- Provide in-depth education and hands-on training to patients and caregivers on ventilator and respiratory equipment
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot highly technical respiratory equipment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and care teams regarding ventilation care
- Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Work performed in patient homes and community settings
- Frequent travel within assigned territory
- Regular use of clinical, respiratory, and standard office equipment
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RRT or RN license in state of practice
- Pediatric and/or ALS ventilation experience
- Experience with tracheostomy care
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Home health or home respiratory care experience
- Hospital respiratory or critical care background
- Familiarity with ventilator data/download platforms (e.g., Care Orchestrator, Astral)
- Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) or home medical equipment (HME)
