Locum tenens rheumatologist opportunity in Atlanta, GA — 14-week assignment, competitive pay $6,150-$7,280/week, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology. Provide outpatient and procedural rheumatology care across two state-of-the-art facilities serving Atlanta and Jonesboro, GA.

  • Setting: Outpatient rheumatology clinic, procedural clinic access

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Rheumatology; prior locum tenens or outpatient clinic experience a plus
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine – Rheumatology (Rheumatologist)
  • Eligible for or holding an active Georgia medical license
  • BLS certification required
  • Fellowship in Rheumatology preferred
  • Ability and willingness to float between Atlanta and Jonesboro locations
  • Proficiency in EMR documentation and timely charting

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of rheumatologic conditions including arthritis, autoimmune and connective tissue diseases
  • Perform arthrocentesis and joint/soft tissue injections (required)
  • Provide procedural care and diagnostic testing such as biopsies, microscopic specimen evaluations, bone mineral density studies, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, and thoracentesis (preferred)
  • Manage intravenous therapies and biologics administration with familiarity in infusion protocols (preferred)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across two facilities to ensure coordinated, evidence-based patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the EMR and support quality metrics for the rheumatology clinic
