- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, any day of the week as scheduled
- Shift Duration: 12 hours (Any)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Encounters per Shift: ~15
- Number of Positions: 2
- Setting: Outpatient rheumatology clinic, procedural clinic access
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Rheumatology; prior locum tenens or outpatient clinic experience a plus
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine – Rheumatology (Rheumatologist)
- Eligible for or holding an active Georgia medical license
- BLS certification required
- Fellowship in Rheumatology preferred
- Ability and willingness to float between Atlanta and Jonesboro locations
- Proficiency in EMR documentation and timely charting
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of rheumatologic conditions including arthritis, autoimmune and connective tissue diseases
- Perform arthrocentesis and joint/soft tissue injections (required)
- Provide procedural care and diagnostic testing such as biopsies, microscopic specimen evaluations, bone mineral density studies, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, and thoracentesis (preferred)
- Manage intravenous therapies and biologics administration with familiarity in infusion protocols (preferred)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across two facilities to ensure coordinated, evidence-based patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the EMR and support quality metrics for the rheumatology clinic
